New music Friday is here and boy, are the girls and boys serving you music goodness today! Kickstart your weekend with these new releases from some of your faves.
Bussin – Nicki Minaj and Lil Baby
Just a week after debuting their Do We Have A Problem collaboration, the duo is back with a second one that was teased in the DWHAP video, dubbed Bussin. It is a high tempo HipHop track that sees Minaj spit her characteristic witty, hard-hitting bars with Lil Baby’s impressive guest verse to boot. Minaj’s album is underway as the legendary rapper hinted in a recent interview. Bussin and Do We Have A Problem are all bona fide signs that the album will nothing short of spectacular.
Closer – Saweetie feat. H.E.R
After being a little silent musically speaking, rapper Saweetie makes a comeback on this fun dance record that features RnB singer H.E.R. They sing about having fun and living a carefree life. “I wanna fall in love for the weekend/Three boyfriends I don’t know where I’m sleeping. We be thuggin’, clubbin’, f*ckin’/Order room service when we done, that’s the sequence,” she raps on the track. The Tap In rapper’s album Pretty B*tch Music is due later this year. She is nominated for this year’s Grammys in two categories, one being Best New Artist.
Aibu – Bien x Bensoul
The Sol Generation boys stay working around the clock. These two blessed fans’ ears three weeks ago and before the dust even settles on the song, they are back with Aibu, another feel-good bop. They throw in a Tinder joke in one of the lyrics, pretty much saying it is a shame that the supposed lovers met on Tinder and now are wedding in church. Wine, a bevy of beauties in an outdoorsy location make for the song’s minimalist yet appealing flick.
Killem Everyday – Savara Mudigi
As the Sauti Sol boys continue to churn solo projects, Savara proves once more that he stands out from his protégés. Who sings overly repetitive lyrics through an entire song and still makes a hit? As if that is not enough, the video, shot in a semi-arid location entails Savara and the his background dancers are….cattle! Ok, they are not exactly dancing but the herd move around with him in the video’s entirety. This is not your regular Kenyan artiste video. Give it a look for a wholesome viewing experience.
Kengele – Chris Kaiga
Riding high on the release of his debut album, fan-favorite Chris Kaiga whips another party anthem, as is characteristic of him. Kengele is what you want to lose your mind to in the club tonight or at the house party your next door neighbor invited you to. If they are not abreast with the new release already, make sure to add to the playlist. Everybody will be on the floor, best believe.
Which one of these has your eargasm started already?
