Sabrina Dhowre Elba isn’t just a global citizen, she’s a true daughter of Africa.
In a recent interview with Brooke Devard , the Canadian born model of Somali descent revealed her favorite spots and experiences across the continent, highlighting her deep connection to Africa.

Kenya stands out as her favorite country, especially the coastal regions of Kilifi, where she spent her childhood. Kilifi House, in particular, holds a special place in her heart, which she describes as “one of the most beautiful places on earth.”
As reported by The Sauce back in May of 2022, the UN Goodwill Ambassador landed in Kenya to visit projects the UN Fund For Agricultural Development invests in.

For beach destinations, Sabrina’s top choice is Mnemba Island off Zanzibar, where she and British actor Idris Elba honeymooned.
The serene beauty of the island, coupled with the magical experience of watching sea turtles hatch, made it unforgettable for her.
The 35-year-old also mentioned her favorite African dish is Sierra Leonian groundnut stew, a comfort food she loves because Idris makes it best. This dish connects her to her roots and brings the warmth of home wherever she is.
Her admiration for African culture extends to fashion, where she’s drawn to designer Vicnate’s bold and expressive designs. Musically, Tems is her go-to Afrobeats artist, admired for her authenticity and representation of Nigerian culture.
Whether through memories, music, or food, the motherland remains at the heart of Sabrina’s world.
