The 2023 edition of Miss & Mrs India Kenya took place at the Broadwalk Mall following the talent night on August 17 at Bao Box.
Eventique has been hosting The Miss India Kenya since 2016 and recently started the Mrs India Kenya in 2021.
This year the pageant had 9 finalists from the Mrs. category and 11 finalists from the Miss category. The panel of judges included Pranav Pancholi, Susan Kaittany, Lolita Kozyreva, Ahmed Hafez, Farah Esmail & Farouk Jannedy.
The show consisted of several runways including a safari chic runway & contestants strutting alongside a guest guitarist and drummer. Emcees Angela Muiruri & Jamil Alibhai led the spectacular event from introductions to the top 5 question and answer.
Soumya Uppal was crowned Miss India Kenya 2023 and Ushma Khetia Samani was crowned Mrs India Kenya 2023.
Following the pageant, Eventique and the winners support different organisations such as Women4Cancer & Hawkers Market Girls Centre. The director for Eventique, Aliza Rajan stated, “This year we have launched the Aliza Rajan foundation, a Non Governmental Organisation established to uplift and empower women from rural areas in Kenya through teaching of basic entrepreneurial skills and eventually assisting them to establish small-scale businesses to earn an income”.
Both winners will represent Kenya on a the worldwide platform next year at The Miss India Worldwide 2024.
The Miss India Worldwide is produced by the IFC, a pioneer organisation in conducting Indian pageants and fashion shows in the USA and worldwide, Miss India Worldwide follows a long heritage of pageants such as the Miss India New York and the Miss India USA Pageants, which have been conducted annually since 1980.
