Maseno University students have barricaded the Kisumu-Busia road, pelting motorists with stones. Police moved in swiftly and restored order on the road. They lobbied teargas on the students and drove them back to their hostels.
The university public relations officer Jasper Otieno says some students haven’t received HELB loans and exams are around the corner.
He says it is the university policy that no student will be allowed to sit exams before paying fees
