A smitten Chinese men thought of the perfect of combining his two passions: His girlfriend and Apple product iPhone. On the day the Chinese celebrated ‘Singles’ Day’, he bought 99 iPhones – all iPhone 6 – and made a heart shape around the girlfriend.
There was no way she would say no after such a thoughtful and expensive proposal, right? Wrong! The lady turned down his proposal, Chinese microblogging Weibo site reported.
The heart-shaped setup cost the young man about $82,000 (Sh7.1M) in the purchase of the iPhones. Unfortunately for the man, he had arranged for close friends and a photo session to capture the intimate proposal.
