Talented musician Charisma is hellbent on having an eventful 2024. The singer has announced his debut album dubbed ‘The Motions’ due for a release on August 9.
“The time is right to finally put out an album having already put out two solo EPs. Doing it on my 10-year anniversary couldn’t be more poetic. This is an invitation into what my 20s have felt like, especially as I head to the tail end of that. Complicated feelings and emotions all through but all in all things that have shaped me,” Shares the singer.
‘The Motions’ will see Charisma further delve into his solo career, having been a member of Le Band for a decade before branching out in 2019.
As part of his promo run, Charisma intends on retuning to the stage on August 23 at his eponymous show, Charisma Live 3 (The Motions Edition) where he will be performing the album for the first time.
Aside from music, the ‘Sina Noma’ singer has been a vocal figure during the prevailing peaceful demonstrations against bad governance in the country, kicked off by the ‘Reject Finance Bill 2024’ protests. Last week, he was a part of the lineup of artistes who performed at the ‘ShuGenZ Memorial Concert at Uhuru Park, a gig that saw thousands of Kenyans show up to pay tribute to innocent protesters murdered by rogue Kenyan police during the demonstrations.
