Gabiro Mtu Necessary has once again proven his musical prowess with the release of his latest single, “Hera Gima Iw Diel.”
Translated from Luo as “Love is like the tail of a goat,” the title immediately intrigues with its vivid metaphor. This traditional Luo saying, which suggests that love is often futile and directionless, sets the tone for a witty and insightful exploration of the complexities of human emotion.
Gabiro has a history of blending modern sounds with traditional African elements, and “Hera Gima Iw Diel” is no exception. The song, rooted in Afrobeat, combines Kenyan rhythms with contemporary beats, creating a sound that is both fresh and familiar. The track’s catchy hooks and layered instrumentation showcase Gabiro’s versatility as both a producer and musician, while his playful lyrics invite listeners to reflect on the absurdity of love.
Gabiro explained the inspiration behind the song: “Love can make us act irrationally, like a goat’s tail that’s always moving but serves no real purpose. I wanted to capture that feeling with humor, making people smile and think at the same time.”
