A video of popular Kenyan rapper Colonel Mustafa working at a construction site has gone viral with many fans wondering what happened to him.
The rapper can be seen carrying stones and handing them over to masons, as well as mixing sand and water.
Kenyans have taken to social media to express their concerns over the once chart-topping star doing manual labour. While some commented on his seeming fall from grace and his less than glamourous lifestyle, others praised his efforts to fend for himself no matter the circumstances.
Mustafa got his claim to fame in the early 2000s while part of the rap group Deux Vultures releasing hits like ‘Kinyaunyau’, Kapatikana, and Adhiambo among many others. The hitmaker added reality star to his name when he joined the cast of Nairobi Diaries.
He was also romantically involved with singer Marya and rapper Noti Flow.
During an interview on NTV in 2022, Mustapha revealed that he had suffered from depression after leaving the ‘Nairobi Diaries show.’
