The much-anticipated Nyege Nyege Festival is gearing up for its 8th edition this November in 2023, promising a stellar and diverse lineup featuring over 30 artists.
Among the Kenyan luminaries gracing the stage are Boutross, Shappaman, DJ IV, Chovu, Groovy Jo, Olith Ratego, Kaneda, Sam Karugu, Paps, DJ Mawinch, Slim B and more are set to enthrall festival-goers in Jinja City, Uganda, from the 9th to the 12th of November.

Adding to the excitement, Ugandan superstars Eddy Kenzo and A Pass are slated to deliver unforgettable performances, joined by South African entertainer Sho Madjozi in what promises to be an electrifying showcase of musical talent.
The term “Nyege Nyege” translates to an irresistible craving to dance in Swahili, embodying the vibrant energy that permeates the multi-genre music featured on stage.

Renowned for its diverse and welcoming crowd, the festival has become a global attraction, drawing people from different corners of the world to Uganda exclusively for this unique event. Despite facing controversies and government scrutiny, Nyege Nyege has not only endured but flourished, facilitating cross-cultural collaborations and showcasing artists from Africa and beyond.
Originating in 2013, the Nyege Nyege Festival was conceived by music producers and DJs Arlen Dilsizian and Derek Debru. Since its inception, the festival has evolved into a cultural phenomenon, continually pushing boundaries and serving as a testament to the unifying power of music.
