Netflix hosted the premiere of Shondaland’s Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story in Stellenbosch, South Africa on Sunday, April 16th, 2023.
The standout event brought out the African Ton – a glittering array of stars from Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, and South Africa – who magnificently interpreted the theme ‘A High-Society Bridgerton Garden Party, with a hint of Afro chic’ in the idyllic setting of the Quoin Rock Wine Lounge.
Kenya’s Catherine Kamau, Nikita Kering, Azziad Nasenya, Mammito Eunice, Joy Kendi, and Tanzania’s Idris Sultan were among the esteemed guests summoned to the exclusive gathering, where they were joined by accomplished actress, Golda Rosheuvel who plays Queen Charlotte, and breakout star Arsema Thomas, portraying the young Lady Danbury.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is a prequel spin-off about Queen Charlotte, a fan-favorite character from Bridgerton.
The series premieres worldwide on 4 May 2023, only on Netflix.
