Kenyan movie Plan B set to premier a day before Valentine’s

Anyone up for a movie special on Valentine’s eve? Kenyan movie ‘Plan B’ is premiering tonight.

The much anticipated romantic Kenyan movie ‘Plan B’ is set to premiere today (13.02.19) a day before Valentine’s and before it’s official release to the public. The LowlaDee film ‘Plan B’ starring popular Kenyan actresses Sarah Hassan and Catherine Kamau Karanja will be showing today on NTV at 10.30pm in an exclusive TV premiere for 60 minutes.

Sarah Hassan co-produced film through her production house Alfajiri. The romantic comedy is also set to officially premiere on the Lowla Dee YouTube page on Valentine’s day, Thursday (14.02.19) 10 am. It also features other stars like Daniel Etim Effiong, Lenana Kariba just to mention a few.

The trailer teases the story of Lisa Waweru (Sarah Hassan) who finds out that she is pregnant (she is expecting her first child with husband Martin Dale in real life) after a one night stand with an unknown mysterious man. She teams up with her best friend Joyce (Catherine Kamau) to come up with a plan to make sure he pays for the baby’s upkeep.

The digital/TV film was written and directed by LowlaDee, whose real name is Dolapo Adeleke, a Nigerian filmmaker. She is popular for her web series ‘This Is It’ which stars Kenyan star Nick Mutuma.

Last year was a great year for Kenyan films and movies with productions like “Disconnect”, “Supa Modo” (which was shortlisted for the 2019 Oscars), “Rafiki” and “Subira” premiering at international film festivals and many more being nominated and winning at last year’s Kalasha Awards.
