23-year-old Felista Nyamathira Njoroge may not be having the best of days today, after the High Court declared that she will not be receiving the Sh 102, 000 gift from her Belgian boyfriend Marc De Mesel as the court deemed the money “proceeds from money laundering.”
The presiding judge ordered that the funds be confiscated because the source of the YouTube crypto personality’s money could not be verified.
The college student received the money back in 2021 in four different transactions between August 4 and 6 2021 through a Co-operative account. In November of the same year, the court allowed the Assets Recovery Agency(ARA) to freeze the money.
