Renowned Kenyan actress Winnie Bwire best known for her role as Dida in the popular Kenyan TV series Sultana, will be laid to rest this weekend.
According to the burial plans announced by Bwire’s family, her body is scheduled to arrive in Kisumu from Mombasa on Friday morning, September 20th. It will be flown to Kisumu International Airport, from where it will be transported by convoy to her ancestral home in Kholera, Matungu in Mumias, Kakamega County.
The final rites will take place on Saturday, September 21st, when she will be laid to rest at her parents’ home in Kholera.
The talented actress had been battling breast cancer for the last couple of years passed away while receiving treatment in Turkey on the 5th of September.

Her death has left the entertainment industry and her fans in mourning.
