Embattled singer-cum-actor Jussie Smollett could soon pocket a lum psum amount of money.
Reports abound that the talented star could pocket a whopping $10 million from a book deal that details his alleged hate crime incident and the aftermath of it all. Multiple book deals have reportedly been pitched to him and he could pocket more money depending on how much information he divulges.
“People are pitching him hard, and Jussie’s been told he could get a $10 million deal and way more depending on how much he dishes. He’s desperate for a cash infusion. The word is Jussie intends to spill on the cruel way he was fired from the show, the co-stars who betrayed him, and the friends who refused to back him in his time of need,” States the report.
“Jussie is confident he’ll be vindicated in court… But whatever happens, Jussie’s earnings have dried up, so there’s no doubt he’ll sign on the dotted line- even if he has to pen this book from a jail cell,” Further offers the report.
The singer was in March this year sentenced to 150 days in jail and ordered to pay $20,000 fine and $120,000 to the the city of Chicago for fabricating his hate crime.
In January 2019, Smollett reported to the police that he was attacked by two men who also hurled racial and homophobic slurs his way, while pouring bleach on his face and tying a noose around his neck.
