Job Vacancy: Transport/ Depot Container Manager Needed

TRANSPORT /DEPOT CONTAINER MANAGER

Requirements
• Masters / Bachelor’s degree preferred in Logistics or equivalent combination of education and experience
• A minimum of 9 years of experience in the transportation/intermodal industry required
• Strong problem-solving and reasoning ability
• Experience with people management preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to make quick decisions based on various factors
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under frequent time pressures
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain all necessary documentation and ensure that it is up-to-date, i.e. certificates of insurance, carrier agreements, etc.
• Handle driver complaints and situational issues
• Prepare operational reports for department heads and executive leadership
• Review all service center invoices to approve cost before submitted for payment
• Determine where costs should be categorized (company expense, driver costs, etc.)
• Quote various rates for customers and analyze possible yard/storage space needs for new business
• Dispute charges when necessary
• Communicate with customers to handle any escalated customer service issues or complaints
• Structure and establish goals and procedures, set priorities and efficiently execute daily tasks with considerations to safety, high production, lower cost, and efficient utilization of equipment and labor.
• Manage the training, development and accountability of the execution team, collaborating with centralized strategy.
• Daily monitoring of safety, yard efficiencies, cost reduction, production and security.
• Responsible for controlling and executing the complete yard process in order to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency with due consideration to vessel and/or inter-modal operations.

Salary for the role 400,000
