Jazzy Jeff to launch album after memorable performance in Nairobi

Jeffery Allen Townes, also known as Jazzy Jeff landed in Nairobi for an unforgettable performance.

Jazz, who is known as a multi-talented star from the 90s, performed at Carnivore, to a packed house of fans. Bringing back the best of the 90s, the DJ, actor and talented producer kept the audience on their feet with tracks that celebrated an era gone by. He was supported on stage by lyrical master Dayne Jordan and multi Grammy winning artist Rhymefest, who kept the audience entertained. Based on posts on social media, Jazzy Jeff was excited to be in the motherland, explaining  it was his “first time in Nairobi.”

As one half of the successful group DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince of Belair, Jeff now re-enters the music industry with an album #M3 set to launch via live stream tonight 6th May 2018, ahead of its official release on the 8th of May 2018. Known for iconic tracks such as “Summertime” and “Parents Just Don’t Understand” the duo broke barriers receiving the first Grammy for Best Rap Performance in 1989. His last album “The Return of the Magnificent” was released in 2007 and featured mega artists including Big Daddy Kane, Dela Soul and Method Man.
