Get ready to toast in December at the Blankets and Wine Festival.
December will see an influx of international stars performing into the country, from the Queen of Rhumba M’bilia Bel for Koroga Festival to Jamaican crooner Christopher Martin for the Umoja Splash Festival, possibly American rapper Cardi B for Jameson Live and Jamaican Koffee for her maiden Kenyan performance at Blankets and Wine.
The 19-year-old Jamaican singer has today (07.11.19) been confirmed as the headliner for the Kenyan Blankets and Wine Festival scheduled to be held on the 22nd of December 2019. Popular Kenyan artists like Fena and Sol Generation will also perform while South African disc jockey Sun El Musician will play at the anticipated event.
The Ugandan Blankets and Wine Festival has American Nigerian singer Jidenna as the headliner of the event which will take place at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala on the 15th of December.
Singer Koffee whose real name is Mikayla Simpson from Spanish Town, Jamaica catapulted to fame with her 2018 hit ‘Toast’ which was produced by the world acclaimed Walshy Fire of Major Lazer. The ‘Rapture’ hitmaker who has been dubbed the next big thing in the reggae industry, has been featured on Essence magazine, performed on the Jimmy Kimmel show, Kaya Fest and most notably Buju Banton’s first concert since his release from prison.
Her 2017 song ‘Legend,’ which is a tribute to Usain Bolt, her endorsements by Cocoa Tea, Chronixx, and Protoje and the explosion of ‘Toast’ which made former First Couple Barack and Michelle Obama’s summer playlist.
