A fundraiser for popular actor Kone Nouhoum will be held on Thursday 8th of November 2018 at All Saints Cathedral from 5 pm to 8 pm.
The ‘Selina’ actor has been admitted at Nairobi hospital’s ICU ward since he was involved in a grisly road accident near Naivasha in September. His family, friends and fellow celebrities alike have been calling on people to help pay his escalating medical bill via social media with the hashtag #LetsDoItForKone.
The actor is a familiar face having featured in many local TV series including “New Beginnings”, “Mama Duka”, “This is Life”, “Joto”, “Mali” and most recently in his character as Reagan in Maisha Magic East telenovela “Selina”.

In an interview with Nairobi News, his wife Jennifer Kimwati said Kone sustained injuries on his neck and spinal cord and has been in and out of surgery since the accident happened. She said that at the moment that actor cannot talk because his diaphragm was also injured. The mother of one added that Kone has no sensations from the neck down and cannot move, but can smile and recognize people.
“When he sees people he knows he always smiles and you can see his face lighting up.”
The family was able to raise Sh1 million from well-wishers but the bill is at Sh 5 million and counting since he is still in ICU.
