St. George’s University (SGU) School of Medicine recently concluded a successful Education Agents Workshop in Kenya and Nigeria, held from February 24 to 27.
The event brought together more than 62 key recruitment agents for dynamic and interactive sessions in Nairobi and Lagos, reinforcing SGU’s commitment to expanding access to quality medical education across Africa.
As a globally recognized institution, SGU attracts students and faculty from over 150 countries to its campus in Grenada. Accredited by the Grenada Medical and Dental Council—an organization recognized by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME)—SGU is a leader in medical training with a strong international outlook.
The workshop aimed to enhance collaboration with recruitment partners who play a crucial role in guiding prospective students through the application process. These agents provide vital information about SGU’s Doctor of Medicine (MD) program and the pathways available for graduates to practice medicine in the US or UK.
David Anthonisz, Executive Director of International Student Recruitment at SGU, emphasized the importance of these partnerships:
“This workshop highlights our commitment to international collaboration. By equipping our recruitment partners with a deeper understanding of SGU’s medical programs, we empower them to better support aspiring doctors in Africa and beyond.”
In addition to strengthening relationships, the event served as a valuable platform for agents and school counselors to gain firsthand insights into SGU’s academic offerings, admissions process, and career pathways for students.
