Dj Joe Mfalme’s live party Club Quarantine comes to an end

Capital FM mixmaster Dj Joe Mfalme has taken over the live stream airwaves with his Club Quarantine party.

However, all good things come to an end. Dj Joe Mfalme alongside fellow Capital Fm deejay Dj Stretch and Dj JR put on a six hour show much to the delight of fans tuned in from across the globe. The show dubbed the Club Quarantine finale was livestreamed on Instagram and Facebook on Saturday (27.06.20) from 9pm to 3am.

The popular disc jockey told The Sauce prior to the show that he and his team have decided to stop the weekly live party show on Facebook and Instagram because he deserved a much-needed break.

Club Quarantine is inarguably one of the best music online shows in Kenya. It was born on the 21st of March 2020 following the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown restrictions in Kenya. The show has been running for 14 weeks straight every Saturday night from 11pm to 1am on his social media pages.

The show has amassed an average of 3,000 viewers on his live streams every other weekend across the various social media platforms. The Club Quarantine team includes, Dj JR who is the the main MC of the show, Dj Stretch handles the streaming equipment and ensures crisp audiovisuals, online brand manager Innocent Bernd serves as the producer and Francis Githinji works on the set up.

The worldwide Coronavirus pandemic has completely changed the entertainment industry with many enetrtainers being forced to showcase their talents to their fans online. Speaking to Mfalme whose real name is Joseph Mwenda, what he misses most in the one on one interaction with fans at events.

Dj Joe has announced that the season two of the Club Quarantine show will return in August 2020 but with a few changes such as the frequency of the shows being reduced to once in a month.

Other livestream shows that have dominated social media timelines since the beginning of quarantine, include Canadian rapper Tory Lanez with Quarantine radio, Kenyan social media personality Xtian Dela with Club Covid as well as oducers Swizz Beatz amd Timbaland on Verzuz Tv.
