Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz has shared about his music big ambitions and personal life.
In a recent interview with a BBC podcast Africa Daily on his ongoing UK Media tour, Diamond expressed his interest in working with one of the most notable musicians of our generation, Rihanna.
The hitmaker said that he has always admired Rihanna’s exceptional talent and work ethic, adding that having her on a collaborative project will be a big win for him.
The artist who is currently riding high with his new EP, ‘First of All’, added that his team is already in talks with the ‘Work’ hitmaker to get a collaboration with her for his upcoming studio album.
“I will have to go with Rihanna, for some reason I feel like we could have a masterpiece, and hopefully if it’s not in this album then my next album. All the plans are underway but with everything going on right now probably in the next album),” said Diamond Platnumz.
The celebrated artist has so far collaborated with America’s Ne-Yo, Rick Ross, Alicia Keys, and Omarion just to mention a few.
Diamond whose real name is Naseeb Abdul also sheds light on his personal life saying that as much as he and his baby mama Zari Hassan broke up, they don’t have to be enemies. The two have two children together, Latiffah and Prince Nillian.
He also admitted that he is currently dating but he declined to reveal the identity of the woman he is seeing. Diamond’s last public relationship was with Kenyan artist Tanasha Donna whom he had a son named Naseeb Junior.
Diamond assured fans that there will be a season two of the hit reality TV series on Netflix, ‘Young African and Famous’ promising that he must deal with South African TV personality Andile who was heavily hitting on the mother of his children Zari in season one.
