The video to Ciara and Diamond Platnumz’s collaboration “Low” is as good as here and it is a sight to behold. Set in a club-esque location and laden with neon lights and a troupe of dancers, “Low” is an Afrobeats and RnB hybrid that blends the two star’s respective sounds.
According to Ciara, who spoke on The Breakfast Club in the U.S., she was looking to explore new sounds and connect with different cultures. She praised the Tanzanian crooner, calling him “so dope” and stating that he brought “so much energy and authenticity to the record.”
Described as a cross-cultural love song, the record was released as a bonus track on the deluxe version of Ciara’s eighth studio album, CiCi, released last month.
The song and music video have been highly anticipated by fans, and its release has further solidified Diamond Platnumz’s place as a prominent African artist on the global stage. It was produced by a team that includes Blaq Tuxedo and Ebenezer Fabiyi, among others.
