Sauti Sol’s Chimano has dropped the artwork and release date of his debut solo EP.
Just a few weeks after the release of Savara Mudigi’s album, Chimano is up next and he is letting it be known. The talented singer has shared the colorful cover art of his new EP, Heavy Is the Crown, that drops April 15. Complementing the title, the art depicts a digitally duplicated Chimano draped in colorful regalia, putting a lifesize feather crown on his head. “15.04.2022.The coronation is soon approaching! Let the reign begin!” He captioned the Instagram post.
The new EP will be his first full-length project, making him the last Sauti Sol member to drop his solo body of work, after the success of the other members’ records. He had admitted to incorporating 80s tempo in the EP, whose first taste was in last year’s hit, Friday Feeling.
