Burna Boy’s smash 2022 ‘Last Last’ continues to be a chart fixture worldwide and easily one of the biggest releases worldwide.
The song that heralds his upcoming album slated for a July 1 release (his birthday) is his first musical offing of 2022. Unbeknownst to you, the song samples another huge hit that came out decades prior; Toni Braxton’s 2000 ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’ smash, whose production was helmed by Rodney ‘Darkchild’ jerkins. It is one of Toni Braxton’s signature classic records and earned the legendary singer a Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance in 2001.
‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’ was the lead single off of Braxton’s 3rd studio album ‘The Heat’ and peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. It is also her last top ten appearance on the chart.
Meanwhile, Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last’ is produced by Chopstix and will appear on the singer’s LP, ‘Love Damini.’ The new album will be a follow-up to 2020’s ‘Twice Tall.’
