French pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati faced an unexpected challenge at the Summer 2024 Olympics in Paris.
On Saturday, August 3, the 21-year-old athlete missed an opportunity to secure an Olympic medal after the bulge in his shorts got in the way during his jump.
While attempting to clear his target height, Ammirati’s manhood got caught on the crossbar, causing him to fall short of his goal.

The incident, captured in a now-viral video on X (formerly Twitter), shows the unfortunate moment that his member thwarted his effort.
As a result, Ammirati finished in 12th place, disqualifying him from advancing to the next round and ending his hopes of competing for a medal in this year’s Games.
