Bambika host and rapper Holy Dave is back with an inspirational track ‘Tia Bidii Zidi’

One of the most decorated artists at the helm of the Kenyan Gospel Hip-hop scene is back with another hip-hop tune.

From the 2010 & 2014 Groove Awards “Hip-Hop Song of the Year” winner is a new release titled ‘Tia Bidii Zidi’.

‘Tia Bidii Zidi’ is an inspirational song urging us not to give up. It encourages us to put in the effort and to keep going no matter what. The lyrics to this song are very relatable, as they stem from Holy Dave’s personal story as he navigated his way through his career. This song further ties in with the #InspirationForTheNation motivational agenda that Holy Dave has been pushing on social media over the past few years.

The song is mastered and produced by Chrome. It is a super catchy track with edgy hip-hop beats, lyrical interplay and unique vocals by Tanzanian singer Avid. The video is creatively curated and directed by Ama Kip.

This release follows Holy Dave’s success in the hip-hop music scene for the past decade. Of his notable releases in 2011 was the song Press On with Izzo. Other notable releases include the songs Mara Hio Hio with Coast-based musician Bantu, Ni Msoh with the gospel rap group Kelele Takatifu, and Niko na Reason with Eko Dydda.

David Muthengi, better known as Holy Dave, has a very multi-faceted career. Notably, he is a TV host for Bambika on Citizen TV. He is also a 12-time award nominee and 4 times award-winning Music Artiste.
Other than being a renowned TV host and music artiste, he is a Financial Modeling Expert at Alpha Review Advisory, a Finance and Strategy advisory firm.

Additionally, he is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Administration at the University of Nairobi, specializing in Entrepreneurship & Small Business Development. He is also the Co-founder and Executive Director of the Muthengi Foundation, an organization he co-founded with his sister and Capital FM’s Joey Muthengi, to raise support for education-related needs in society.
