Controversial politician Babu Owino is not pleased that he was ranked the worst-performing MP.
During an interview with Capital FM’s Davis Ayega on Wednesday (03.05.20) at the Parliament buildings, Owino could not help but gush about himself before defending his track record.
Owino dismissed a recent report by Mizani Africa that ranked him as the worst-performing lawmaker in the 12th Parliament on the management of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
“First of all, when you look at me from my dressing, it shows I can never be number last, without coming to my brains. Number two, I am a person who scored first-class honours in actuarial science and second upper in law. That is a person who knows what he is doing, that is a person who has no liquid intelligence, that is a person who is not a razzmatazz, that is a person who is not a village salad, that is a person whose intelligence capacity is at optimum, that is a person who can deliver because he is organized because he knew why he vied for Embakasi East constituency,” said an overly confident Owino.
“I have worked for my people and I have built classes in my constituency. I have done over 22 roads. I introduced table banking for women to advance their businesses,” he further claimed.
The disgruntled Embakasi MP Babu Owino had ranted for days on social media after the report ranking Members of Parliament performance a week ago.
The research conducted by an organization called Mizani Africa was released on Tuesday (25.02.20) and placed Owino as number 290 out of 290.
