Australian-Arabian Singing Sensation Nadia On New Music, Art And Her Versatile Artistry

Australian singing sensation is a force to reckon with, and that is an understatement. A songwriter, poet, producer and amateur sound engineer, the most fair description of her would be a multidisciplinary creative.

The singer who also bears Arabian ancestry is as creative as they come. With a new EP out and an bigger even body of work underway, she sat down with The Sauce for more lowdown on what she has up her sleeves.

“My writing approach is less shallow and more meaningful and with a element of melancholia. I write and perform in Afrobeats and have been tapping into my Arabian roots as well. I also have an inclination towards the alto-genre of vocals. Being a songwriter, I can experiment with a wide range of genres and that has been an advantage of mine,” She tells The Sauce, citing Raye and Amy Winehouse as some of her inspirations.

Nadia has a new four-part EP between herself and producers LogicHitIt and UK-based Rwandese-Congolese producer Made Beats. “We all decided to do a collaborative EP together which I admit was lots of fun,” Nadia says of the project.

“God bestowed upon me the talent to write and help people express themselves which I think is such a healing journey and tool. My bigger focus is creating a safe space for creatives to learn and grow, as well as discovering new artists and helping them with their music, which is why I explore the East African space quite often, a region that feels the closest to home for me,” She adds.

Long term, Nadia wants to tap into music healing and therapy as she reckons music is therapeutic not just for the listeners but for its creators as well. She is hard at work on a new album which she aptly describes as Neosoul which she promises fans will be worth every listen.
