Arsenal midfielder Mesut Özil is the newest celebrity dad in town.
The Football star and his wife Amine Gulse recently welcomed their first child.
The elated Özil yesterday (30.03.20) shared a photo on his Twitter of his new daughter whom they have since named Eda.
Özil said on social media: “Thank God our daughter “Eda” was born healthy. God willing us to be a good son to his environment and all humanity.”
In June 2019, the German Ace with Turkish roots got married to the former Miss Turkey Amine in a controversial yet colourful wedding ceremony at a luxurious hotel in Instanbul, Turkey.
As reported by The Sauce, Özil tied the knot with his Turkish bride and the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was his best man. This is something that did not go well with critics who thought he was betraying his German roots.
The 31 year old Arsenal star has been expecting his first child for some weeks having sought permission to miss the club’s Europa League defeat against Olympiacos several weeks ago before all sporting events were cancelled due to the spread of COVID-19.
The Gunners playmaker is currently in lockdown along with the rest of the country due to the coronavirus pandemic.
