Popular Kenyan actor, writer and director Mugambi Nthiga is now on radio!
The ‘Supa Modo’ co-writer has joined the fifth season of Capital FM Kenya’s mental health podcast dubbed ‘Mindfulness, Music and More‘.

Nthiga will be co- hosting the show alongside award-winning mental health advocate Shalini Bhalla-Lucas every Tuesday night at 10pm on Capital FM.
The elated multi-talented personality took to social media to announce his new gig adding that the opportunity to be on radio has finally come after 21 years of dreaming of being on air.
Mugambi who landed his first acting gig at the age of five as over the years made his mark in the industry after working on popular Kenyan productions such as ‘Changes’, ‘Nairobi Half Life’, ‘Kati Kati’, ‘Lusala’ and more.
Mugambi also performs and directs for the stage, his most memorable work being a solo performance of Duncan Macmillan’s ‘Every Brilliant Thing’, and directing ‘Too Early For Birds – Mboya Edition’, an experimental storytelling play on the life of Kenya’s most prolific trade unionist and politician. He is also part of ‘Because You Said So’, a seven-person improv comedy group which hosts sold-out shows every other month.
Shalini’s wellness company Just Jhoom! Kenya produced the Kenyan iteration of The Manic Monologues which scooped up 3 awards at the Kenya Theatre Awards in February, 2023. These include, Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Monologue won by Charles J Ouda, Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Monologue won by Wakio Mzenge and Best Adaptation won by Shalini Bhalla-Lucas and The Manic Monologues team.

The successful ‘Mindfulness, Music & More’ podcast offers delightful conversations that focus on aspects such as body positivity, depression, stress and recovery. The latest episode features media personality and mother of one Anita Nderu.
