Youth Leaders Prove What The New Brand Of Leadership Looks Like

This 2017 Kenyan general elections saw the nation go to the ballot to cast their vote in favor of various candidates. There were 6 positions to be filled in every county, and after a fierce campaign period the nation made their stand on the 8th of August.

The aftermath of voting day held on the 8th of August 2017, the nation  has been mired in controversy with Honorable Raila Odinga opposing the declared results. Among them is the political activist Boniface Mwangi. The 34-year-old CNN Multi Choice Africa award winner is now out in the streets clearing up his posters. He is also keen to bridge peace in some of Nairobi’s slum areas like Kibera, that experienced skirmishes after the announcement of the presidential results. Partnering with Kibera native rap genius Octopizzo, Boniface fondly known as Bonnie to his supporters is now working to provide therapy for Kibera’s children.

It seems the new crop of young leaders are all about letting their actions speaking louder than words. Suzanne Silantoi Lengewa, a Nairobi Senatorial hopeful was also seen cleaning the city she hoped she would lead. The young beauty was getting dirty with other mwananchi, clearing out her posters.
