Lawrence Masira, the Kenyan boy who was gifted an Arsenal jersey by Football star Mesut Ozil, will be smiling bright tonight in Egypt as Harambee Stars play their first match at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
A couple of days ago Sports journalist Eric Njiru took to Twitter to thank the doctor who volunteered to perform the procedure on Lawrence Masira ahead of the big event, posting pictures of the boy before, during and after the procedure.
Saying thank you to Dr @arneddie of Lavinvton Green Dental Suite who volunteered to do composite masking on Lawrence Masira's (Ozil boy) teeth for free to make sure he will be smiling in Egypt at the #AFCON2019 . God bless you man!!! #visaunstoppablestories pic.twitter.com/Hg0qCgOfSJ

Months ago, the story of the Kenyan boy who wore a self-written “Ozil 10” jersey went viral after he was spotted by Eric Njiru. Since then the power of social media has helped to his advantage, not only did he get the jersey, he also landed a job of being a ball boy at this year’s AFCON and he now has brighter teeth.
As reported by The Sauce last month, money transfer brand VISA came calling and Masira was appointed the Visa Players Escort Ambassador Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament which kicked off on Friday 21 June to 19 July 2019 in Egypt.
Kenya’s Harambee Stars who are playing at AFCON for the first time in 14 years will take on Algeria tonight (Sunday 23rd of June 2019) at 11 pm.
