A University of Nairobi student died from diabetes complications after her British boyfriend she met on Facebook flashed her medication down the toilet. 22-year-old Peris Ashley Agumbi was to graduate this week with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Lower Kabete Campus. The 41-old Briton, Carl Singleton, is now locked up at Gigiri Police station after police arrested him and are charging him with murder.<\/p>\n

According to media sources, Ashley died of diabetic hypertension and respiratory failure. Singleton flashed her diabetes medication and locked Ashley in their two bedroom flat in Gachie, Kiambu.<\/p>\n

Singleton was charged with murder seven days after he was arrested. Ashley had filed an abuse complaint to the Police, accusing Singleton of beating her, a story collaborated by neighbors in Gachie, according to NTV.<\/p>\n
