Cassie Ventura is set to testify under her own name against her former partner Sean \u2018Diddy\u2019 Combs in his upcoming federal trial for sex trafficking and racketeering.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 37-year-old singer and model is one of four alleged victims due to appear in court when the trial begins in New York on 5 May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a motion submitted by federal prosecutors, it was confirmed Cassie, initially referred to in court filings as \u2018Victim-1\u2019, will not remain anonymous during her testimony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Combs, 55, faces five counts across three federal charges, including racketeering, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and denies any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a new filing, prosecutors stated: \u201c(Cassie) is prepared to testify under her own name. Victim-2, Victim-3, and Victim-4 have asked that their identities not be revealed to the press or the public.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They added in the update: \u201cThis case has already received an exceptional amount of media coverage, which will presumably only increase as trial proceeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPermitting these measures will prevent unnecessary public disclosure of the victims\u2019 identities, and the harassment from the media and others, undue embarrassment, and other adverse consequences that would almost certainly follow if these women were forced to reveal their true names publicly at trial.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cassie was in a relationship with Combs from 2007 to 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
