Shay Mitchell wants women to \u201ccelebrate\u201d their bodies after giving birth.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u2018Pretty Little Liars\u2019 alum welcomed her daughter, Atlas, into the world 19 months ago, and has admitted she didn\u2019t feel like \u201cherself\u201d after she gave birth, because of the way her body looked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And although she believes women should be allowed to be unhappy with their post-baby figures, she also wants to encourage more people to \u201ccelebrate\u201d their bodies at \u201cwhatever point we feel our best again\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said: \u201cRight after I had Atlas, if I ever made a comment about how I didn\u2019t feel like myself, people were like, \u2018Well, you just had a baby.\u2019 Yeah, I know I just had a baby. I\u2019m very grateful for my body, and that it gave life, but I\u2019m still allowed to express that I don\u2019t feel like myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI was strong before I had Atlas, and I wanted to feel that way after. We celebrate our bodies before we\u2019re pregnant; we celebrate our bodies with bumps. We should also celebrate our bodies at whatever point we feel our best again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shay has been practicing deadlifting since welcoming her daughter, and is now able to lift an impressive 50 pounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She added: \u201cGetting up to 50 pounds was a boss move. I was really proud of myself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 34-year-old actress \u2013 who has her daughter with her boyfriend Matte Babel \u2013 has also been making career moves in recent months, such as founding the travel brand Beis and the tequila beverage company Onda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And Shay says she\u2019s keen to try a variety of different ventures in order to live her life to the fullest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
