The \u2018Hello\u2019 hitmaker has insisted she\u2019s working on new material – which will be her fourth studio album, and her first since 2015 – but has said her album is \u201cnot finished\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adele, 32, gave the update whilst hosting \u2018Saturday Night Live\u2019 this weekend, after being asked why she wasn\u2019t performing on the show as the weekly musical guest as well as working as the host.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said in her opening monologue: \u201cI know there\u2019s been a lot of chatter about why I\u2019m just the host, like, \u2018Why isn\u2019t she the musical guest\u2019 and stuff like that. And there\u2019s a couple of reasons – my album\u2019s not finished, and I\u2019m also too scared to do both. I\u2019d rather just put on some wigs – this is all mine, by the way – have a glass of wine, or six, and just see what happens.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mother of one recently told fans she had \u201cno idea\u201d when she would be releasing new music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When one fan commented on social media, “Adele where’s the album?” The \u2018Rolling in the Deep’ hitmaker then replied: “I honestly have no idea.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As reported by The Sauce<\/a> in February 2020, the album was due in September 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, it was previously reported that the award-winning singer had “been pouring her heart and soul” into the new record and has been working with Raphael Saadiq and John Legend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adele is not the only artist whose fans who have been awaiting new material for years now and unfortunately, the release of these albums are uncertain. Multi-talented singer Rihanna has kept fans waiting for her highly anticipated album dubbed ‘R9’ to no avail. She however promised her fans that they wont be disappointed when it drops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
