Vogue Arabia magazine has made history by featuring three black models on their April cover. The models were all in their hijabis. The models are Halima Aden, Ikram Abdi Omar, and Amina Adan.<\/p>\n

Model Halima Aden, 21,\u00a0 was raised in Kenya\u2019s Kakuma refugee camp and she made headlines in 2017 when she was the first hijabi model to feature on the cover of America\u2019s Allure magazine. This is the second time she will be on the cover of Vogue Arabia.<\/p>\n

Halima spoke about the experience of being a Muslim model to the magazine saying, \u201cI think it\u2019s important to remember that wearing a hijab is a woman\u2019s personal choice. It doesn\u2019t make her any better or worse than another Muslim woman. To me, it symbolizes modesty and gives me a sense of power.\u201d<\/p>\n
