The musician didn’t release any new music in 2018, but that didn’t stop him from having the most financially successful year of any musician, as his ‘Divide’ world tour – which he first embarked on in 2017 in support of his third studio album of the same name – brought in a whopping \u00a3342.3 million in 2018 alone.<\/p>\n
According to data collected by Pollstar on the top 10 highest grossing tours of 2018, Ed sold 4.86 million tickets for the shows in the past 12 months, including the four sold-out dates he performed at the 90,000 capacity Wembley Stadium in London.<\/p>\n
The ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker smashed his previous tour earnings for his 2014\/15 tour ‘Multiply’ – which grossed \u00a3119 million – and is now on course for the most lucrative tour of all time.<\/p>\n
