Instead of simply moving on, a woman has shocked many by writing a three-page letter about her ex-boyfriend to help his next bae get to know him better.
A man has taken to Twitter to share a letter supposedly written by his ex-partner – offering advice for ‘his next girlfriend’.
The handy pointers include things such as his favourite colour as well as how to spell his name the bizarre three-page “guide” has been ridiculed by fellow social media users.
“My ex-girlfriend wrote this for me and it’s literally the best thing I [have] ever gotten in my life,” he wrote.
The list starts off with some random facts including the date he met his ex-partner as well as his favourite ice cream flavour, beer and how he likes to sleep. “He likes to have his back rubbed/massaged so be prepared your hands may cramp but he loves it so you gotta keep going,” one point read.
“Oh yeah and don’t finish a Netflix series without him because then he tries to finish it and you just spoil it for him,” the letter continued.
The “guide” took a concerning turn when the ex explained, “you will constantly hear negative things about him”. “Just ignore it, trust me it ain’t worth the fight,” it read.
Another advised that when he’s having a bad day, “just be there that’s all he asks for don’t add more stress on top of it”. And perhaps the most alarming pointer on the list advises the new partner to “be all about him”.
According to The Sun, the letter has stunned other users on Twitter, with one asking: “Is this dude looking for a girlfriend or a second mom?”
Another said: “Any woman would be lucky to avoid you” while one person wrote: “If someone I was dating gave me a letter from their ex we would immediately be finished. I would not date anyone who tweets this garbage either.”
Others think the man wrote it himself, with one tweeting: “He probably wrote it himself and thinks it’ll go over more easily if it’s from his ‘ex’.” Another agreed, commenting: “He so wrote it himself!”
Would you ever write a letter point out all your ex-partner’s strengths and weaknesses for his/her next bae?
