A nurse has been reprimanded for wearing a bikini under transparent PPE.
The unnamed medic was photographed on a coronavirus ward for male patients in Russia wearing the skimpy outfit under her protective equipment and was summoned by her bosses after they spotted the picture online.
She was called into a meeting where she claimed that she was too hot wearing her normal uniform under the transparent PPE, and also said that she was unaware of how transparent the protective clothing was.
The regional health ministry said that the nurse had been given a reprimand, although its exact nature was unknown.
A statement read: “A disciplinary sanction was applied to the nurse of the infectious diseases department who violated (uniform) requirements.”
A patient said that he had no problem with her attire, although it has caused “some embarrassment”.

According to the Moscow Times, authorities also held an “explanatory conversation” with her colleagues on requirements for sanitary clothing and outer appearance and stepped up controls over staffers responsible for PPE.
Meanwhile, activist doctor Anastasia Vasilyeva accused the nurse’s employers of issuing low-quality PPE to medics.
“You can see in the picture she was wearing some kind of plastic suit,” the Daily Storm news outlet quoted Vasilyeva as saying. “An anti-plague suit shouldn’t be transparent and must be made of a completely different fabric.”
