Photos of Reverend Tim Pelc show him shooting holy water into car windows to bless Detroit church-goers at Easter whilst following social distancing guidelines. They have since gone viral and inspired memes on Reddit and Facebook.
Pelc explained how he came up with the idea while trying to find a safe method to continue the tradition of blessing Easter baskets and to make sure children had a fun memory of Easter during the coronavirus lockdown.

70-year-old Pelc told BuzzFeed News that he was a little concerned about how the Vatican might react when the photos of him squirting holy water began circulating widely on the internet. But, he said, “I haven’t heard anything yet.”
