A doctor gave a four-year-old child small amounts of cannabis to control his temper tantrums.
Doctor William Eidelman prescribed the boy small amounts of the drug after his father sought help when his son was misbehaving at school.
The boy’s treatment was revealed to the school nurse when she was asked to give the child marijuana cookies at lunch.
According to Bang Showbiz, Dr. Eidelman misdiagnosed the child as being bipolar and having attention deficit disorder. As a result of this mishap, the Medical Board of California revoked Dr. Eidelman’s license on the grounds of being “negligent in his care and treatment.” The board reasoned that the doctor had failed to seek the expertise of a psychiatrist and didn’t communicate with the boy’s school.
