“Suzeed, you will soon be a household name,” are the words we told her when we heard her first song back in 2014. She was new to the scene, unsure of herself in an industry that can throw to you lemons without giving you time to make lemonade out of it. But within the unsure frame, we noticed a certain depth of determination that was going to help her weather the rugged industry storms.
Two years later, like fine wine, her music has matured. Her music is richer. The quality of her videos rivals the ones that are churned out by industry heavyweights from the continent.
On her latest project, titled You and Me, she has featured one of Africa’s most celebrated rapper. What I like about the song is the fact that it grows in you. Listening to it once might not get you hooked. But when you hit the play button for the second time, like a drug, you will consume it more and more.
Suzeed’s vocals flow smoothly on the mellow track giving it a romantic feel. Khaligraph Jones, who has learnt the art of surprising his fans complements the song with a good verse.
The track is mellow, inviting you to the dance floor with someone you love.
Docta Eddie who did the audio and the video has outdone himself. His over 10 years experience in the music industry must have come in handy.
