In the latest hip hop releases, it seems women in Hip Hop are all gunning for the top spot. Dropping knowledge and keeping up with hard beats, Cardi B could be coming for Nicki Minaj’s career. Once a stripper, and more recently a reality star of Love & Hip Hop New York, Cardi is making big moves in the industry. Just releasing two mixtapes, the New Yorker is working to cement her place as one of the baddest female emcees. Just starting out, she still has a way to go, however, her career is off to a great start. Her latest release “Bodak Yellow” shows Cardi is cooking up something big, watch out Nicki!
It seems the recent tussle for the crown title of Queen of Hip-hop has stirred up biggest female emcees. Dej Loaf also known by her government name Deja Trimble has also stepped up her game with her latest release “No Fear.” The track has already received high praise from the likes of Kodak Black and more. The track has a psychedelic feel with creative imagery, is a vast improvement for the Michigan-born rapper. Serving up talent on a bed of diversity, it seems that Dej Loaf is truly fearless. The track, some sort of love song is well written and marks a new chapter for the 26-year-old.
Finally, it seems Remy Ma’s comeback has also inspired some one-time heavy hitters. Trina known for a long list of hit songs including “Here We Go” featuring Kelly Rowland and of course “Right Thurr” with Chingy and Jermaine Dupri was at her best in early 2000. The 38-year-old has worked with Ludacris, T-Pain, and even Rick Ross. Winning the BET Soultrain Awards in 2002 for Best R&B/Soul or Rap Music Video for the track “One Minute Man” and several other awards, Trina is truly an established name. After a long hiatus, she’s back with a collaboration with K. Michelle. The Miami born and raised rapper is back with a heavy flow and slick lyrics, coupled with K. Michelle’s smooth melodies, the track is set to move up the billboard quick.

Nicki Minaj might have to go back to the drawing board and rethink her strategy. If these latest releases are anything to go by, she might be in for some fierce competition.
