A board member representing University caucus at the Kenya Rugby Union has resigned. Peninah, who is the current Sports Director at Kenyatta University, resigned on Tuesday. KRU Ag Chairman Gabriel Ouko accepted Peninah’s resignation through a statement posted on the KRU website.
“On behalf of the Board of the Kenya Rugby Union, I do hereby regrettably accept the resignation of Peninah Wahome from her position on the Board as stated in her letter dated 20.01.2015.”
Ouko noted Peninah had skipped several board meetings in spite of efforts to reach her. According to Voice of Sport, Peninah was opposed to the management style of the current administration and that she might have been pushed out of the Board.
