USIU Students Skip A Meal To Donate To Red Cross Famine Relief

As drought and famine ravage the nation, some students have taken initiative to contribute to the cause. USIU launched a food drive in response to the famine crisis. According to the varsity’s website, from Monday, March 13  the #IamCompassionate campaign has requested fellow students, staff, and faculty to donate, maize flour, wheat flour, dry cereals.

The university has even encouraged students to skip a meal to donate to the cause. Working in conjunction with the Red Cross, the initiative has been received amongst students with many participating. With many cadres of government giving to crisis that has affected 11 million, every donation counts.
