USIU-Africa releases its first major movie ‘Unbalanced’ courtesy of its Film Production and Directing program

USIU -Africa is known as one of the most diverse universities within the region, and now the varsity is dipping its toes into the film industry as it seeks to create a new generation of Africa’s storytellers.

The United States International University of Africa which is based on Thika Road is set to release its first major film. The film created by students from the Film Production and Directing degree program is the first of many to come. With topical relevance for the youth today, the movie ‘Unbalanced’ touches on the complexities of love and relationships and the tight work-life balance that Kenya’s millennial youth struggle with today. Shot within the halls of USIU, the production offers a glimpse into what life is truly like for a student today.

The Kelvin Osoo directed film is a collaborative project as the varsity students take center stage in the Film Production and Directing production. The movie is set to be screened at the campus today (19.06.2019) from 5.30-7.30pm.
