A University of Nairobi student died from diabetes complications after her British boyfriend she met on Facebook flashed her medication down the toilet. 22-year-old Peris Ashley Agumbi was to graduate this week with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Lower Kabete Campus. The 41-old Briton, Carl Singleton, is now locked up at Gigiri Police station after police arrested him and are charging him with murder.
According to media sources, Ashley died of diabetic hypertension and respiratory failure. Singleton flashed her diabetes medication and locked Ashley in their two bedroom flat in Gachie, Kiambu.
Singleton was charged with murder seven days after he was arrested. Ashley had filed an abuse complaint to the Police, accusing Singleton of beating her, a story collaborated by neighbors in Gachie, according to NTV.
