UoN Machine crashes Strath Leos at Floodies

University of Nairobi Mean Machine turned around a slow start to come from behind to defeat Strathmore’s Leos at the Airtel Impala Floodlit Rugby tournament on Saturday. The Leos started the stronger side restraining Machine on their side of the pitch and keeping possession for long periods during the first half. Leos got on the scoreboard through a drop goal and a penalty by Ken Andola.

But Machine regrouped and recovered from the Leos onslaught with tries by Kevin Gacheru, Elphas Manga and George Mutuku who made two conversions and a penalty.

Final Score: Mean Machine 29  Leos 6

Earlier, Mean Machine II beat JKUAT Cougars 23 to 3
