Last Friday saw the Inception fashion and design expo go down at the ADD building in the school of Art and Design at Nairobi University. The event, which was very well choreographed and organized, was very well attended.
‘Inception’ is a public exhibition that showcases the best works from the design students of the school of the Arts and design.
The graphic student works were well showcased on the walls and guests were allowed to walk around and marvel at their creativity.
On hand to entertain the guests was the joyous live band. The MC of the night was Angela Angwenyi.
The climax of the expo, however, was the fashion show that seemed to grab the attention of every guest present. The designers dazzled the crowd with their innovative patterns, while the models captured the mood of the night with their elegance and appeal.
“The show sets the mood for a night out after a long week,” said Ben-Mark Ogot, a third year School of Business as he engaged his eyes with the gorgeous models and designs.
“The venue is also convenient for students since it is right next to the halls of residence.”
The best third year Fashion design student being a Ms Lilian Waithera
